Description

This is the pattern that launched the steel string acoustic guitar into the 20th century in the US. Named the Parlour due to being preferred to the piano in American homes at that time. It still has the wider neck the European guitars had, and was necessary, due to the tighter steel strings that were coming into fashion. Back then, it was the loudest guitar the world had ever heard, and CF Martin was the designer and maker.

The new styles of playing with plectrums, lent themselves to the punchy little instrument and so its versatility was its strength.

All solid timbers with spruce top and Rosewood back and sides.
