Kentucky KM-1000B Mandolin

The B in the title stands for black top. This mandolin is an impressive one. The Adirondak top needs to be played-in more than a Sitka, but it pays dividends when you do.

The KM-1000B was introduced to the mandolin world during the 1970s. This was in response to requests for an instrument of the same standards of quality found in vintage mandolins, that is, tone, style and finish.

  • Top: Solid Adirondak spruce
  • Back and sides: Flamed solid maple
  • Neck: Flamed maple
  • Fingerboard: Ebony
  • Finish: High gloss

Brand: Kentucky
