Kumalae Style Soprano Ukulele
The Kumalae style soprano ukulele is a vintage uke in perfect condition. These ukes are hard to find in such great condition. The reason being that they were affordable and accessible, and not many escaped damage or abuse.
Made from Hawaiian Koa, the uke has a traditional “peanut” body. Back in the day, they were very difficult to repair and so many were lost. This one is in absolute pristine condition with original friction pegs and appropriate gut strings, giving a warm but surprisingly loud sound.
The Kumalae Soprano is amazingly light too. It has traditional friction pegs rather than metal machine heads, and super thin timbers. Originally made for a Sydney music store, the shop label is still inside. The uke is quite possibly 100 yrs old.
Comes with new deluxe case.
