Blueridge BG-2500 Guitar

The Super Jumbo was developed by Gibson back in the late 30’s,  at that time, it was the biggest guitar ever made.

The Blueridge BG-2500 Jumbo is based on SJ-200’s from the fifties with a solid flamed Maple body and solid Spruce top. A thicker neck was also essential for a guitar this size to get the most out of the larger Spruce top.

The Super Jumbo guitar has been popular with a mix of performers including Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jimmy Page, Reverend Gary Davis, Neil Young , even Elvis Presley. It proved to be not only a great rythm guitar but a versatile guitar for many songwriters.
