More details about Gibson B-45 12-String Guitar
This B-45 Gibson was built in sometime in the sixties and is still in good playable condition despite it coming up to it’s 60th birthday.
The number on the headstock is 121 088
Yes it has a few battle scars but the frets are all good showing no sign of wear with no fingernail gouges in open chord positions. The back, sides and neck are all mahogany with a spruce top. There are no cracks or any visable repair work whatsoever.
One possible reason for condition could be put down to having a shorter scale length of 24 1/2 inches and 12 frets to the body, all these attributes have helped keep the string tension to a minimum.
It also has a substantial bridge giving much more surface area to secure it to the top. Whatever the case this Gibson B-45 has stood the test of time as good as any.
It still has it’s original case which is more nostalgic rather than functional ie: you’d be crazy to use.
A new case would be easy to source.
