The MD515 F-style mandolin has a lot to offer and all at a very good price. The solid maple back of this 515 has very beautiful flaming which is not only attractive but also indicates it is very hard maple too. These kind of timbers do not come cheap and they give this mandolin a broad, deep tone. When a mandolin sounds this good and has not even been played, things can only get better with playing.
The hard ebony fingerboard will also increase the sustain of any instrument and the nicely radiused frets for easy playing.
