Fan Fret 5-string Banjo

Yes, you did read correctly, don’t ask why but this piece of abstract banjo art does play and actually sounds surprisingly good.

It will never replace your pre-war Gibson Mastertone or even a recent Gold Tone purchase but rest assured you will have a conversation starter. It’s skilful construction consists of “only the best” marine quality ply and bamboo and while they are not on the current tonewoods list, they do make this banjo lets just say, durable.

The mirror drum head is a nice touch and is in keeping with all the other mindbending features. There will always be people who refuse to stay on track and this fan fret banjo is certainly a big detour.

Sorry there’s no case for this one but a gig bag would probably suffice.
