More details about Barnes and Mullins Troubadour Banjo
The British company Barnes & Mullins have been making banjos since 1895 and definately played a part in making the instrument popular in the early 1900’s. After all that time Barnes and Mullins have been bought and sold but here they are, still making banjos in a style that you will not find from the USA.
For the Bluegrass purists this banjo will raise an eyebrow but it does perform very well and if you like engraving on brass there’s a lot to take in here. During the popular Jazz period, banjos were the instrument of choice and fancy ones were highly desirable. Banjos were the electric guitar of their time, they were loud and needed to attract attention. The Barnes & Mullins Troubadour is a good example.
