More details about Pisgah Rambler Openback Banjo

The Pisgah Rambler has some unusual design features. Firstly, the shell is wrapped in brushed stainless and so this banjo will never warp over time like old stewarts always did.

The combination of a heavy brass tension ring being pulled down with a copper, brass and steel lug arrangment is really striking. It’s an unusual mix of metal colours but works very well. Other feature are classic, the Rambler has a 12″ pot with an adjustable dowel stick and an essential clawhammer scoop. All topped off with simple 8 point star on the old time paddle headstock.

The Guitar Gallery and the folks at Pisgah have only just become acquainted but it’s already clear they really know their banjos and we will stocking more in the new year.

The Rambler and Dobson Pro are two of the best banjos we have ever had in the shop and we had a few. It’s true that sometimes you need to go to the home of whatever you are looking for. North Carolina and Virginia is where you should be a-headin’.
