Altamira Torres 1888 Classical

The Altamira Torres 1888 model was built to honour the great Antonio de Torres. Antonio Torres was at the forefront of Spanish guitar makers in the 19th century.His genius creativity and production technology made the guitar into the instrument we know of today. His designs improved the overall dimensions and construction of older instruments and were the first recognisably modern classical guitars. The Altamira “Torres” model is based on a guitar numbered SE114 by the master himself in 1888, and is constructed to recreate the tonal qualities and design aesthetic of those original guitars.

The Torres legendary fan bracing gives you a sound that is immediate, clear and delicate, with a wide range of tone colors.

Altamira aims to provide a classic experience to guitarists, bringing back the original sound of a traditional Torres guitar. The 1888 will encourage players to discover the full spectrum of tonal colours available, and will draw audiences in with its intimate sound.
