The Lindisfarne mandolin is one of Ashbury’s higher level mandolins with all solid timbers used throughout. Spruce and Rosewood are combined to give this little mandolin a great deal of power and tone. The soundhole inlay is pretty but understated and the gold tuners operate precisely.
It aslo comes in a strong hardshell case.
Lindisfarne is a small island off the northeast coast of England and a popular folk rock band from the seventies got their name.
Their hits included Meet me on the Corner, Lady Eleanor and The Fog on the Tyne. This Geordie band were noted for featuring acoustic instruments in their electric music.
