Guild USA D-40 Guitar

The Guild D-40 was originally produced throughout the sixties and described as their Bluegrass model but as any Bluegrass music fan/musician knows a Martin D-28 or D-18 is almost compulsory in a Bluegrass line-up and it’s only the bravest that dare deviate from this unwritten law. All that said, the Guild D-40 is a cracking Dreadnaught with a sweeter tone than any Martin. It may not have the thump required for Bluegrass music but is still a finely made guitar with a lot to give a discerning player.

Judging from their records, a sunburst model would have been a special order back then. This guitar has a little shop floor wear and so the price has been reduced by 30%.

The D-40 comes with a Guild dedicated hardcase.
