More details about Kentucky KM-300E Electric Mandolin

The Kentucky KM-300E Electric Mandolin is a four string version of a standard 8-stringed mandolin, which is very suitable for a nimble jazz player or even a rocker.

The electric solid body mandolin made its first appearance in Western Swing music from Texas. Tiny Moore and Johnny Gimble being the most well known exponents. It has just four single strings, tuned E-A-D-G, this makes the KM-300E sound a little like an electric guitar.
