National Resonator Guitar Biscuit

This is a genuine part from National Guitars. Changing the biscuit on a cheaper brand transformed an instrument that had in our shop. We had already changed the cone to a Paul Beard and still had no success, which was a bit of  a shock.

“It’s all in the cone” being the resonator mantra, but it did nothing to this guitar which lead us to finally change the biscuit and presto!

It solved the nasty honk at 1k and smoothed out the tone across the spectrum, with the original cone was returned.

Well worth thinking about if you have a similar issue with an Asian made guitar. It worked for us. The saddle on these maple biscuits is very hard and tough which we discovered when cutting the string slots.
