We’re back and enjoying a big 2014….
2014 is going to be a big year at Guitar Gallery. Expect to see an extended range of stringed instruments appearing on our racks, both new and vintage, budget and deluxe. So far in 2014 we’ve already had quite a few holidaying visitors in the shop along with our regular customers. One mandolin went off to Broome, another to Sydney and a banjo is about to head off to Brisbane.
Stay tuned for exciting developments. We hope to see you in the shop soon.
Guitar Gallery sells stringed instruments of all kinds, mostly acoustic but we do have a select range of electric guitars and even a few things without strings at all…concertinas, flageolets, melodicas, jaws harp, kazoo and nose-flute spring to mind. We stock guitars, of course, as well as banjos, mandolins, fiddles, ukuleles, charangos, autoharps, harps, dulcimers and double bass. We even have a koto in stock at the moment.
We try to stock a range of instruments that are exclusive to us or very nearly so. If you want a handmade uke by Scott Wise, a banjo or mandolin by Jaroslav Prucha or a banjo by Geoff Stelling we are the shop for you.
We have Melbourne’s biggest in store range of Blueridge guitars, amazing quality at an affordable price. We are currently offering some great deals on these fine instruments.
We stock Cremona double basses, a fine bass for a very reasonable price. This is the bass that Kim Wheeler swears by for all her live gigs.
We have many unique and collectible acoustic instruments on consignment, from Gibson mandolins and banjos to 1930′s metal bodies dobros.
Guitar Gallery is managed and owned by Gerry Hale. All staff at the shop are musicians and know all the instruments on our walls and can play most of them. All instruments are carefully chosen, well set-up and competitively priced. Most of our staff teach various instruments or can put you in touch with someone who does.
If your instrument is in need of repair, setups, pickup fitting and minor fixes are done at the shop by Gerry at very reasonable rates. If something more involved is required specialist repairer Nara Demasson picks instruments up from us twice a week. Call us, email us or inquire in store regarding your particular needs.
We also have a huge range of strings for all the instruments we stock and then some more…if you are looking for some strings for your charango, Irish bouzouki, dulcimer, guitarron or cello banjo we can sort you out. And we love a challenge.
If you are unable to visit us in person you can check our online catalogue and call us or email us to make a purchase. Any orders over $500 we will ship free of charge. Currently we are unable to sell items less than $500 to overseas customers.
