The Guild Dreadnought D-240E is a slightly unusual Dreadnought featuring flamed maple back and sides. The back is also arched which is something Guild guitars are sometimes known for.
The flamed maple is very attractive and gives the D-240E a tighter bass response, with less boom than a rosewood or mahogany body. The tone is very even right across the guitars range. The active pick-up has a simple straight out from the endpin design with discreet volume and tone wheels accessable just inside the soundhole.
