Made in Mirecourt, France, in the style of Petitjean around 1825.
Ian Watchorn has restored this guitar to perfect playable condition.
1-piece back of figured maple, matching sides. Belly of bookmatched, slightly uneven, medium pine.
Bone frets, 16 frets in all ebony nut, 9 bone frets, 7 ebony frets-largely original, 12th fret glued to belly below the line of the neck joint. Ebony pin bridge in early Lacote style.
Ebony veneered neck, head veneered on front face with ebony and otherwise stained black, 6 ebony pegs are probably original.
Ivory and ebony purfling inset with MOP diamonds, rosewood bindings.
Ebony end buttons.
