Collings guitars have always held a place on that list. Bill Collings was well know for being a stickly for detail and by some accounts, not the easiest guy to be around sometimes in a working situation. He knew what he wanted from his small dedicated workforce and demanded it constantly. He was highly respected.
His small design changes and tweeks were made in an instant on the shop floor on his precise instruction. Bill Collings was a luthier and a legend.
That kind of focus is what’s required to produce something special and likely for him,very personal. All this attention kind of comes through when you handle a Collings guitar, they have his charactor embedded in them.
This OM-2H-T is superb in every way but if you don’t like Martins, well, you possibly won’t like this fabulous guitar. If you love Martins then you may find that a Collings is as good or even better but it will certainly different.
This guitar is as new and never been played so not a mark on it. What is officially a secondhand instrument could not be in better condition.
